Creative Life
My creative life has never existed neatly inside a single category. Fiber arts may be at the center of my world, but creativity spills into almost everything I do and the constant spinning of ideas in my mind eventually work their way into my projects. I was raised in an environment that valued curiosity over rigid structure, which meant I had the freedom to go deeply into the things that fascinated me and to treat creativity not as an occasional hobby, but as part of everyday life.
I was homeschooled, so wandering through museums, attending fiber festivals, experimenting with unusual materials, building ambitious projects, collaborating with artists and mentors, and learning through trial, error, and exploration were all part of my education. I’ve always been drawn to the overlap between craftsmanship, problem-solving, and artistic expression, especially when a project pushes me into unfamiliar territory.
